Your job search should, too.

The job search you did in your 20s and 30s may not be the job search you want to do now.  Your values, identity, and desires have changed.  Why shouldn't your job search, too?

Midcareer Cheerleader

Hi, I'm Kristen!

In 2018 I embarked on a job search and discovered there were not many resources for midcareer professionals.  I wanted to know why this job search felt so different than the searches I'd done in the past, but no one was talking about it.

I wanted to know why it felt like my identity was changing, and "my job" and "my work" felt like they might be two different things.

I wanted to figure out how to help others who had great life experience connect with each other.

I think this is what makes job searching in mid-career (or midlife) so different. We are different. We're raising kids (or not), parenting our parents, managing a mortgage and many other responsibilities, but we're also craving a life that looks different than the one we thought we wanted when we were 20. Or 30. Or even 40.

If this is you, then you have come to the right place. I am working to create a community of amazing, smart, motivated people who want to think about "career" in a different way.

Please join me!

“People may call what happens at midlife ‘a crisis’, but it’s not.  It’s an unraveling--a time when you feel a desperate pull to live the life you want to live, not the one you’re ‘supposed’ to live.  The unraveling is a time when you are challenged by the universe to let go of who you think you are supposed to be and to embrace who you are.”
